I, Michael "Spider" Davis, am the owner and operator of this site. I am one of the owners of Web Spinners, LLC a Web Development and Hosting provider, and Father of two. Writing is a part-time and non-priority task right now so this site will grow slowly initially.

If you have any questions or problems with the site or would like to request some changes please let me know via email. I monitor this site or a regular basis but read email on a "religious" one. 

This site is dedicated to the great minds of freedom Plato, Locke, Mill, Rousseau and Rawls. May the work they started live forever!

About me:
Before starting Web Spinners in 1996, I worked a short time for a Coffee Shop, Concrete Finisher and a Market Research Firm. Beyond that I worked for Hudson Bay Company of Minn. as a Grassroots organizer for Offices across the United States. Working as a canvasser (knocking on doors, explaining issues. collecting checks & signatures) led to running a staff and office then opening new offices. Eventually working up to a Program Director for environmental issues which included critiquing legislation and lobbying local, state and federal governments.  Mostly working on Environmental and Water based issues (due to my background with the Wildlife Federation and Campaign for the Environment Offices) I have also worked on consumer issues like Heath Care, Utility Rates and Property Tax issues. 

My education came from taking care of myself since age 15 and then returning to school at 17 to graduate and later be able to start College. My College education consisted of  1year at the Southern University of Charleston, S.C. as a general Sociology Major then later at The University of Pittsburgh as a self designed duel major of Political-Philosophy (hence the name of this site). Pitt has the best Philosophy Department in the United States and I quickly found myself adequately challenged and inspired. They have Philosophy majors of every sort but until then had no Political-Philosophy major category. They created one to accommodate me and let me pick my course plan.
